Quantifying risks and opportunities from mine closure

This program will develop a framework to assess a range of design options for mine closure plans including the quantification of associated risks and opportunities. The impacts on strategic level decision-making will be quantified including valuation and residual risk as a function of each scenario.

An important output of this program is to apply the framework to illustrate how the analysis of potential design options would impact on strategic level mine planning processes, closure liability calculations and residual risks.
